Speak Up!
Empower students to combat bullying
Extremely useful in dealing with the everyday goings-on in the classroom and playground situations.
Teacher, Bucasia State School
It was interesting and exciting and I learnt a lot about not being afraid and stepping up to talk about bullying.
Student, St. John Bosco Primary School
Strategies to deal with bullying should be part of every students’ school survival kit. This production uses theatrical performance, interactive forum-theatre techniques and a TV quiz show to teach students to Speak Up! against a bully and reach practical solutions.
Students get involved by participating in a number of bullying scenarios, while the performers pause the action to help the audience to explore possible resolutions. Students are introduced to a magical white board that comes to life and spells out why people bully in the first place. Together with the show’s characters, they decide on the best course of action.
Jam-packed with education, interaction and performance, this is a fast-paced, thought-provoking experience that empowers students to Speak Up!
Produced by Bread Productions.
