Master puppeteer and entertainer, David Hamilton has been entertaining audiences nationally and internationally with his unique blend of puppetry music and song for over 25 years. In 2010 his performance Puppet Mania tours with Queensland Arts Council.
This multi-award winning entertainer has three times been voted Queensland Variety Entertainer and Children’s Speciality Act of the Year before being inducted into the Queensland Entertainer of the Year Hall of Fame.
David was Entertainment Producer for the Piazza Venue at World Expo 88 and was responsible for the production of over 1842 national and international acts. His own company successfully presented Australia’s largest touring marionette theatre productions of classics such as Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella, Aladdin’s Lamp, Hansel and Gretel and an original work Bunda’s Magic Coins.
David is the only Australian puppeteer to produce and program the computer audio animatronics variety production for Dreamworld and the Hyperdome.
In 2000, David produced Puppet Mania for Queensland Arts Council, and has toured exclusively with the Ontour inschools program for the past 5 years. It achieves a sound balance of education and entertainment while presenting this unique and popular performing art to Queensland schools.
