Dalby community steps in for students

210km north-west of Brisbane, Dalby Arts Council is working hard to ensure students from small surrounding schools don’t miss out on Queensland Arts Council’s Ontour inschools programs.

Dalby State High School teacher and Arts Council coordinator, Tara Routley, and the Dalby Arts Council are raising funds and organising buses to transport the students from Bowenville, Quinalow, Kaimkillenbun and Jimbour State Schools to performances at larger schools.

Included in the fundraising strategy is a Jazz concert in vineyards of Rimfire Wines, Maclagan, to be held in July this year – an event specifically to raise funds for buses for the small schools.
