Pormpuraaw and Kowanyama, Western Cape York Peninsula.
A multi-school, multi-community artist-in-residence project was held over three-weeks, immersing students from prep to Year 10 in a series of workshops and performances that tackled the themes of bullying and self-respect while also teaching students new exciting skills in the arts.

Soundscape Gulf Tour
Normanton, Croydon, Mornington Island, Burketown, Karumba, Doomadgee.
Acclaimed instrumentalist, Collin Offord performed and facilitated workshops about practical ways to make musical instruments out of recycled objects. This workshop and performance format allows school communities to view and develop new skills, being inspired to create their own performance for the wider-community.

Latin American Carnivale
Mount Isa, Cloncurry.
A cluster of schools took part in an exciting two-week project with internationally-renowned Aussie percussionist Grant Collins.  Students participated in a program of dance and drumming workshops inspired by Latin American music, culminating in a public performance at the Mount Isa Multicultural Festival.

On the Up and Up

Mount Isa.
This three-week residency took a multimedia approach to music, physical theatre, role-playing and filmmaking. The workshops centred around teen social issues affecting the community including anti-social behaviour and cultural identity. The participants developed a series of performances and films that were shared with the wider community.

Reconnect@Normanton
Normanton.
This two-week project focused on creating a sense of place and community.  The project involved a series of workshops in filmmaking and modelmaking. The residency culminated in an innovative film project where students created a miniature model of their home townscape that formed the backdrop for a series of short films.
